A 500km bicycle ride through the rural of Japan across 4 days for charity

In June this year, Charles Breen, Associate Director of Huxley Japan had joined approximately 40 other Tokyo based professionals in raising funds by testing their pedal power on the hills and roads of Japan. The ride was in aid of two great children’s charities in Japan – Mira No Mori and Esperanza.
Huxley Japan showed our support by sponsoring the ride and the official cycling gears. We were very privileged to be able work with Rob and his team at KIWL in raising funds for this great cause. It was a great opportunity for the team in Japan to work together and raise funds as well as increase awareness for the charities behind this cause.
The ride itself was four days of glorious countryside, great camaraderie, top level support, hard work, celebration, and most importantly getting to meet some of the fantastic children we are supporting. These are kids who have had a tough start to life but through the funds raised this year will have the opportunity to learn skills that will help them overcome the obstacles they face, as well as gain confidence in who they are and what they can become.
If you like cycling and live in Japan, you may also choose to get involved. Not only will you have fun but also truly be able to make a difference to the lives of some disadvantaged youngsters.
