Maintenance & Reliability Manager

The site is lagging behind others in the organisation when it comes to the maintenance planning. The team have developed a blame culture. The site has great levels of investment and a capable & supportive Factory Manager, but a leader is needed to take the bit between their teeth and guide things forward.

You would be working as a Maintenance & Reliability Manager for one of the largest private businesses in the world, who are passionate about leveraging new technologies and continuous improvement. The site in Wolverhampton is a leading supplier of food products to some of the biggest foods service companies in the UK, so if you've worked in a fast-paced environment then you'll be well positioned to take the reins here.
Your mission if you choose to accept it:
- You will develop and implement a multi-year maintenance plan. You would be heavily involved in future strategy including conducting capability assessments of the site's assets and establishing what new equipment will be needed
- You will improve the effectiveness of the team by putting in place longer term maintenance excellence programmes as well as coaching and developing a team of 24 professional engineers of different experience levels
- You will transform the engineering department into a pro-active positive team by engaging them, motivating them and leading them with clear direction
Reporting directly into the Factory Manager you will be a key member of the Senior Management team in a role which provides the satisfaction of seeing the direct results of your input and offers excellent scope for career progression
If you can confidently demonstrate your capability to drive a site's Overall Equipment Effectiveness long-term then this may be the right job for you.
The position will offer a salary of £58,000 - £65,000 plus a discretionary bonus up to 12.5%(circa £7k-£8k), plus a car allowance circa £5,500 making a total financial package of £70,000 - £78,000. You can also expect healthcare, long-term disability & illness cover, 25 days holiday and 6% pension.
