International Day of the Girl

On 10th October Dr Ami Fakey, Partner - Banking & Finance City & Europe, represented Huxley and SThree at a GirlsTalk London’s event held at St Paul’s Cathedral, which was an opportunity for female students aged 14-18 interested in a range of sectors to network with professionals.

Over 50 girls from Lilian Baylis Technology School, New City College, St. Paul's Way Trust School, Harris Academy Crystal Palace, St. Michaels Catholic College & La Retraite Catholic School had the chance to meet and get an insight from various organisations including Clifford Chance, Lloyds of London and EY.

What is International Day of the Girl?

International day of the girl is an annual event declared by the United Nations to recognise and address girls’ rights and the unique challenges they face. The day also promotes girls’ empowerment and fulfilment of human rights.

Girls Talk London was founded by Vanessa Sanyauke an award winning leader and entrepreneur. The charity supports girls with career development through a range of ways including digital engagement, research and recruitment, and mentoring programmes.
