Huxley hosts Frozen family movie event in aid of The Smith Family

In partnership with The Smith Family

To finish off a successful 2019, our Sydney office recently partnered with our clients to run a hugely successful family event in aid of a really worthwhile cause – Australian children’s charity, The Smith Family. This is an independent non-profit organisation which aims to create opportunities for disadvantaged children and their families and enables them to participate more in society, mainly via the medium of education.

Involving our clients and candidates in a worthwhile cause

On Sunday December 1st, the Sydney team organised a fun filled event which saw clients bring their family members along to an exclusive showing of the new animation film Frozen 2. The event took place in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter and involved a morning of festivities prior to the film screening including face painting, a balloon artist, colouring competition and a visit from Santa. There was also a real life Elsa on board as a pleasant surprise for the children. The event had a strong charitable element to it, with each child in attendance bringing a gift (toy or book) with them to donate to a child less fortunate than them. There was also a colouring competition for children in attendance with a prize for the winning entry.

The event was a huge success with 100% attendance and we received amazing feedback from all who participated and attended. ''Thank you so much for hosting what I have deemed the best client event of the year. What a phenomenal way to get access to senior leaders in a relaxed and fun environment on a Sunday morning,'' said Donna Williams, Talent Acquisition Partner at TAL. She also added that ''All of the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were even more excited to find out that they were winners in the colouring in competition.''

''Thank you Huxley for the invitation, my family had a great time at the event and are very happy to have contributed to the Smith Family Appeal. It’s a great initiative and I hope your company continues to run these type of charitable events so that the less privileged get the support they need.'' - John Du, Project Manager at Commonwealth Bank.

As well as this amazing feedback from attendees from what was a really enjoyable event, the screening also provided The Smith Family with an abundance of gifts to donate to children less fortunate. We hope that this has been a great CSR initiative for The Smith Family in terms of making a difference this Christmas!

The above is just one example of Huxley's commitment towards making a difference by way of CSR initiatives. Interested in the work we do? If you fancy being a part of our team then take a look at our latest career opportunities here.
