If you have any experience with motion control then this is a unique opportunity to work for a world-leader in motion control technology, whose systems can be found in virtually every sector of industry.
As an Applications Engineer you get to see both sides of the product lifecycle, from interacting with the development teams to dealing directly with customers in defining requirements and using your expert knowledge to ensure they can deliver on their motion control applications. If you enjoy constant problem-solving and giving others the benefit of your knowledge, whilst getting to interact with a broad range of engineering clients, then this will be the ideal role.
You will get to be hands-on every day, so some experience with programming in high-level languages or programming PLCs would be needed.
The company is the R&D arm of a multi-million turnover international group which gives the benefits of stability and investment, whilst still remaining a nice casual and informal working environment. You would be based from their headquarters in Gloucestershire with occasional international travel.
The position could offer a salary of £40,000 - £60,000 depending upon experience, plus a profit-related bonus which averages 8%, 25 days holiday and 5% matched pension. The company also operates a flexible working policy which allows you to accrue extra hours to take time off, and has an early finish on Fridays.
