Electronics Design/Power Electronics Engineer
Are you an Electronics Engineer with experience in industry looking to work on exciting products related to the EV market in Newcastle for a company who are in the process of establishing their Head office for R&D? Look no further as I am exclusively partnering with this company and keen to speak to you!
The company are looking for engineers either with experience in Power - SMPS or Power for mass products or analogue/Digital design engineers to join the team reporting into the Electronics Manager. Any experience of Power supply or motor drives is also of interest to the company who have a presence on a global scale. The company operate on flexible working with a highly skilled team that are also able to upskill on the power side if necessary.
Your role will be to design and debug electronic circuits, components and PCB assemblies for new product development and sustaining projects. You will also be responsible for the design setupand running test to ensure the product meets the specification.
Core skills for this role include:-
- Experience in analog or digital design of embedded controls and/or experience with switching or power electronic design.
- Knowledge of ESD principles and practices.
- Knowledge of PCB layout and schematic capture tools.
- Knowledge of circuit analysis, simulation and design of experiments.
- Knowledge of good engineering practice.
- Knowledge of recognised 'industry standard' development cycles.
