Do you feel that your natural inventiveness and innovation is stifled in your current workplace?

Would you like to work in an environment where anything is possible, and every idea is listened to without bureaucracy?

Where you have the freedom to try out new ideas without restraint?

In this Technical Manager role you would get to develop your capabilities, whilst getting involved in exciting automated machinery projects, often incorporating robotics, sensors and vision systems. You will be responsible for a small team of Controls Engineers, delegating work load, mentoring and supporting when needed as well as being able to take ownership of your own projects.

You will be empowered to be able to handle the complete life cycle of a project from capturing customer requirements, through programming and integration to supporting commissioning.

You will be programming PLCs and HMIs and may have the opportunity to learn some robot programming also. The customer base for these systems is truly worldwide, so you will have the opportunity for varied international travel, with a possible frequency of a trip of 3-4 days each month.

You would be working for a company in Derby who has trebled their turnover in the past year, and has achievable plans for this level of growth to continue over the next few years due to their development of cutting edge machinery within their sector. This will bring with it strong opportunities for personal and professional development.

The need to hire is driven by the high demand for their systems - current COVID circumstances have not slowed down their demand, and the business have great plans to continue to innovate as well as implementing strategic plans for growth, which you can be a key part of.

To be suitable for this role you MUST have experience writing PLC programs for automated machinery from scratch for a minimum of 7 years.

This is a great chance to work for a successful and expanding organisation who prize innovation and are producing challenging, complex machinery.
