Huxley Fintech Hub

What is happening in the FinTech sector?

The success of FinTech companies within the UK is no secret, and London has been the main driver of this. Within the UK, London is the second largest financial hub in the world and is the fourth largest in Global FinTech. London has the highest world's cluster of financial and professional service firms but the UK FinTech story as a whole is also extremely successful. UK FinTech flurry is ongoing in cities such as Belfast, Edinburgh and Birmingham and is continuing to spread across the country.

Although the last two years have provided many difficulties and uncertain times within the Financial Services sector, it's no surprise that a recent article featured in the Guardian (Inman, 2021) stating that Britain's investment in the Financial Technology industry has hit a new world record and there has been almost £18bn worth of deals during the first half of 2021!
Huxley is optimistic that London's FinTech hub will continue to surpass its potential during the rest of the year. We remain committed to assisting FinTech organisations to attract and hire the best talent, and for candidates to find the right opportunities.

Environmental, Social and Governance

Huxley takes part in a wide range of ESG initiatives and programmes with a vision to transform lives through skills and work. We’re proud of our strong philanthropic history in partnership with our parent company, SThree.

At SThree our purpose is to bring skilled people together to build the future; a sustainable future where the UN Sustainable Development Goals are achieved.

For example, tackling ‘affordable clean energy’ and ‘climate action’ was built into a 2019 business target to ‘reduce our absolute carbon emissions by 20% by 2024’.

With the goals of ‘quality education’, ‘decent work and economic growth’ and ‘reducing inequalities’ we aim to provide a purposeful, fair and inclusive career for our own colleagues and provide inclusive staffing solution to our clients, where we source the best, diverse talent.
