Spotlight on Vivid Sydney

This year, Huxley celebrated Vivid Sydney on a catamaran private charter over two separate nights. On this occasion, we invited our clients and candidates to join us aboard the Nevaeh that departed at Town's Place Wharf for a night cruise around the Sydney harbour. It was a fantastic way to see the lights of the city with those that we have built relationships with over the past years.

On board of the Nevaeh, we caught uninterrupted views of the harbour including the whimsical light projections on Sydney’s Customs House recounting May Gibbs’ The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, a classic Australian children’s tale written exactly 100 years ago in 1918. We also saw the Sydney Harbour bridge and the botanical gardens light up with multiple displays of colour. We were mesmerised by artist Jonathan Zawada's masterpiece - light projections of recognisable Australian patterns of science, nature and culture, dancing over the Sydney Opera House sails. "It was really nice quality time with our clients and candidates across banking and finance. I look forward to working with all of them in the future", said Jessica Swann, Senior Consultant within the Huxley team.

For those of you not familiar with Vivid Sydney, it is a free 23-day festival where creative ideas of light and music come to life. The festival caters for all ages and for most of the month of May to June, it transforms Sydney into a wonderland of light art sculptures, innovative light installations and grand-scale projections on the city’s buildings and gardens. The festival brings the community together and is also a great avenue to showcase upcoming Australian and international talent.
