A global prop. trading firm is looking for a Network Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastructure Team. This is a full-time, permanent position located in NYC.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Design and support hybrid infrastructure to provide operations and migration services
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve networking issues
  • Lead transformation to Infrastructure as Code and provide guidance & expertise around hybrid networking (On-premise and AWS)
  • Network management and support for data centers and offices, including (but not limited to): server and computer networks, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches
  • Install and configure network equipment, monitor internal and external networks
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Working experience building networks in AWS (implementing AWS direct connects, VPCs, site-to-site VPNs and hub/spoke infrastructure)
  • Proficient engineering knowledge with public cloud networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and traffic management
  • Skilled in cloud infrastructure networking, on-premises networking and telecommunication
  • Proficiency in LAN/WAN with layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, GRE, IPsec) and strong understanding of various networking concepts and protocols (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Load Balancing, SSL VPN, MLAG, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of AWS networking in hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications/Nice to haves:

  • Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Scripting skills (Python preferred)
  • Proficient in Linux
  • Familiarity with Arista, FortiGate
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking Certificate, CCNA, and/or CCNP
