Job Title: Collections Representative

Type: Full Time, Permanent Opportunity

Compensation: Base Salary + OT + monthly bonus

Location: Las Vegas Region, Nevada

Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday, 7AM - 8PM

****You will receive a 40 hour work schedule within these hours.****

Global financial services organization is seeking to build out their Collections division, and are need of experienced Customer Service professionals. The Collections division is responsible for communicating with customers through phone, email and via the company's website. The overall objective of the group is resolve past due status's.

In order to be successful in this position, the right candidate will have prior/current customer service experience, a great listener, demonstrate empathy, identify issues, and a true problem solver.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound calls and outbound calls from customers and other teams within the firm
  • Will provide solutions rather than just looking to get a payment; the objective is to find a resolution not just get the most amount of money from an individual - want to build a lasting relationship with the customer
  • Provide payment programs and resolve customer issues/past due status's
  • Active listening, understanding and analyzing customer needs
  • Empathizing and establish rapport with card members
  • Build a relationship with the customer
  • Abide by the companies compliance regulations
  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure agreed payment programs/solutions are being applied

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Customer Service experience
  • Collections experience is ideal
  • Must be proactive, ability to work independently and with a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to show empathy and build rapport with the customers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Banking or financial services experience is preferred
