Product Engineer

A leading investment bank are looking for a VP level SAP (Sybase) ASE Product Engineer to join their global technology group who are responsible for developing database infrastructure to support SAP ASE and Replication Server.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate you will be working on various database related infrastructure / automation projects that will require the development or maintenance of modules/scripts using Perl/Python. You will be responsible for development unit level testing and integration testing. To be successful you should have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, understanding the basics of administering a SAP (SYBASE) ASE server is a core requirement.

Key Requirements

  • Good ASE Database Administration Skills
  • History of delivering Perl/Python based solutions for large scale mission critical production infrastructures
  • Ability to familiarize yourself with their existing Perl/Ksh based infrastructure
  • Experience using Sybase
  • TSQL Knowledge
  • Knowledge of common IT processes, including ITIL and SDLC
