Support Developer

A support developer is required by an Investment Bank to join their IT Division, based in London. The support developer will be responsible for developing and supporting (across 1st, 2nd, 3rd line support) the e-trading and risk management systems using the in-house monitoring tools along with various technologies such as Python, Java 8, Scala, C++, C, C#, Linux and SQL etc.

As part of the team, you will have to liaise with the global team located in three continents Europe, USA and Asia managing and supporting all the trading issues as well as taking any follow-up actions in order to protect system stability. Additionally, the company occupies a state of the art office at the top of the Warsaw Spire. You will also have to develop solutions for business problems while you will gain great business exposure, understanding the e-trading environment.

Between one and three years of commercial experience is required having worked as a software developer or engineer. Expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, and C #, Python, Java or Scala is essential.

Communication skills are necessary, as you will have to liaise with the global team extensively.

Self-motivation is also vital, as you will be able to work on your own initiative and take ownership of tasks and development projects.

Strong academic qualifications in any of the following subjects/natural sciences: Computer Science, Computing Engineering, Maths, Physics.
