Tech Strat - Python - Hedge Fund
A Tech Strat (Python) is required by a leading boutique Hedge Fund in London, their European HQ. The business focuses on alternative investments, taking a multi-strategy approach on a global level. The role would see you working directly with two of the partner level portfolio managers in London, where you'll be responsible for building out the trading systems to help prepare for expansion. You'll be leveraging your engineering expertise to build platforms and tools across research, pricing, risk and Big Data to support machine learning efforts.
You would be focusing largely on Python, but will also be exposed to C++, a willingness to get stuck in across the stack will help you deliver more value to the business. You will be acting as an engineering SME within the front office, your role will be immensely varied and someone with a high degree of proactivity will really be able to make this role their own. No finance experience is necessary.
Key skills required for this Tech Strat (Python) role:
- Educational foundation in a numerate subject, Computer Science, Maths, Physics or similar
- Strong programming skills in Python and ideally a track record of having picked up other languages to evidence your versatility
- Knowledge of relational databases, ideally SQL
- Evidence of having a well-rounded engineering skill set i.e. Agile, DevOps, Cloud, TDD and Automated Testing

- Salary: negotiable up to £120,000 + excellent bonus
